Like all of you, the last thing I expected was to live most of March and April under shelter in place guidelines. While I appreciate the time at home with my family and definitely want to do my part to keep my community safe, I have to admit that I miss organizing and staging on a daily basis. Both of my business services are a passion and fuel my creativity. But, when life hands us lemons, we need to make lemonade…so I’ve switched gears and created a new virtual platform for my business services.
Is Now the Time to Get Organized/Prep My Home for a Move?
Since you are spending more time at home, you may notice and be more affected by the clutter at home. For some of you, you may want to take advantage of the time at home to finally clear out this clutter. For others, you may have thought about working with a professional organizer in the past, but timing was never on your side, until now. Either way, you are now motivated and ready to take on your goals, but feel unsure of how and where to begin.
Did you have plans to sell your home this year, but plans have been halted due to the current circumstances? With all the time at home during shelter in place guidelines, do you want to get your home ready so you can list your home after guidelines are lifted? If you answered yes, maybe you feel unsure of what can be done now to get you farther ahead when life returns to normal.
Additionally, think of it like this…getting your home organized and/or prepped for sale is an effective way of taking charge during a very unpredictable time. As a result it can decrease your stress and anxiety, help you feel in control, and even allow you to better enjoy your time at home with your family. Sounds like a win-win, right?
What’s the First Step?
The great thing about virtual organizing is it can be super flexible to fit your at home schedule. For many individuals, it can be less intimidating and less overwhelming too. I’m offering a few different options that range from a one time session to weekly accountability check-ins. Similar to my hands on services, each new client will have benefit from a complimentary, exploratory phone call as well as a review of a detailed intake form. You will also upload photos via a personalized link. Ultimately, we will discuss your goals, budget, and timeframe and then schedule the appropriate organizing or staging package for your needs. Scheduling and payment are all done electronically through Square.
How Will We Communicate?
There are a few options when it comes to virtual services and these will depend on your comfort level and project. One option is to use Zoom or Facetime for video conferencing. We can also go “old school” and just use a phone as well. There are several electronic platforms that we can use to share photos, project and product ideas, and resources.
Am I a Good Fit for Virtual Services?
This is a great questions to ask yourself and we can certainly discuss more in an exploratory phone call. I believe virtual services are perfect for someone that is motivated and a self starter, but someone that also needs direction, step by step instructions, or an accountability partner. In short, I help you reach your goals by outlining a plan, giving you the resources you need, and provide the follow up to make sure you reach your target! But, when it’s all said and done, you do the actual hands on work.
